Wonder what it’s like to be in a Broadway ensemble? Focus on the dancing part of becoming a triple threat by learning a show-stopping dance routine from a Broadway hit. It all begins with a 5, 6, 7, 8...

    • Song into Scene

Why do people who hate musicals hate musicals? Because they don’t understand why people break out into songs in the middle of thought or conversation. Let’s work on ways to bridge that gap and gain some new lovers of the art form.

    • Acting the Song

Make any song come to life. Use this approach on any song to give it dimension so you will stand out at an audition or in a performance. We will walk through a song together focusing on textual analysis, character motivation, and subtext. You will be surprised to see what happens when you focus on acting rather than singing.

    • Song & Dance: Learn a musical theatre song & dance to perform

Learn a production number from a major Broadway show. Music and choreography will be taught with an emphasis on style and performance techniques. We will have a blast! Dress to dance.

    • Wanna Love Being in the Ensemble?

Playing a lead role seems glamorous but being in the chorus can be a blast. Create a character from scratch and collectively bring a production number to life. Using “At The End of the Day” from Les Miserables, learn how to become the star of the chorus.

    • Voice for Musical Theatre (Adam)

    • Performing a Solo

Working on audition songs? Preparing for a solo in a show? Preparing for a solo musical theatre competition? We will guide you through how to approach a solo and workshop as many performances as we can in the allotted time.

  • College Auditions 101

This workshop walks you through the process from researching schools to prescreens, to Unifieds. It is more of a lecture and Q&A from a team that has prepared students for acceptance to most of the major acting and musical theatre programs in the country.

    Mock Auditions

Choose a mock audition style and we will do the rest. For college mock auditions we will bring mock college reps and students will rotate between classes for a similar experience to that of Unifieds or Moonifieds. For community theatre or school auditions, we will set up a dance call and a vocal/acting call and run it like an audition. We can create any scenario you would like for your students. At the end, we will provide feedback and answer questions.

    The Art of Cold Readings

Put your cold reading skills to the test in this mock audition-style workshop. Through a series of cold reading exercises, learn simple tips for making the most out of the small amount of time you have in the audition room. Stop focusing on reading lines and place your efforts on the things that count...character, objectives, and relationships.

    Musical Theatre Dance Call

This is for trained dancers as well as those wanting to feel less intimidated at a dance audition. Go through a mock audition and learn ways to be noticed for the right reasons. Learn to make the process work for you so you can sell yourself as a performer, whether you consider yourself a dancer or not. Dress to dance.
