A Show About Home, Family, and Finding Where You Belong.
From the creator of the Broadway Phenomenon "Hamilton" comes the Tony-Award winning Best Musical about family, community, and life in a vibrant neighborhood in New York City's Washington Heights. It tells the story of the hopes and dreams, loves and losses, and fortunes and failures of this rapidly changing community. With music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda and book by Quiara Alegria Hudes, "In The Heights" won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 2008. This ground-breaking show, conceived by Lin Manuel Miranda, weaves together Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and pop to tell a story about chasing the American dream. Compared to a modern-day "Fiddler on the Roof," this electrifying and touching story will make you believe in the power of Musical Theatre.

Brilliant, passionate teen coder Alice dreams of changing the world with her new video game, Wonderland. When Rabbit suddenly emerges from the screen and offers her an escape from reality, Alice takes the leap - and lands in her own virtual world, only it's no longer her intended utopian creation, where anyone can be a hero. In order to win the game, she must level up until she can confront the ruthless, sickly sweet Queen of Hearts and save Wonderland from the clutches of oppression. This new musical explores ambition, rebellion, greed, and the power of self-expression. Alice's Wonderland is a new musical for all ages, featuring an original score inspired by Hip-Hop, Pop, Gospel, and contemporary musical theater.

How to Musical Theatre - An original movie musical written and created by Emmy Award-winning duo Allen Robertson and Damon Brown.
An original movie musical called “How to Musical Theatre,” is told through the eyes of a teenager named Marvin, who is questioning his purpose. Dropped into a musical number in a park, Marvin meets the contemporary version of some well-known musical theatre characters: Kelly, Reynolds, and O’Connor. Through a clever exploration of what it takes to make a musical, the short film celebrates the joy you feel when you “...have a life worth singing for.” Get ready for a 21st-century homage to the great MGM musical comedies of the 30s full of song and dance numbers and a whole lot of heart.
The film will premiered at a community event/fundraiser at Pease Park on August 14th and will become part of our Digital Learning Series for 3rd-12th grade classrooms.
It’s a Movie! It’s a Musical! It’s probably under an hour. It’s HOW TO MUSICAL THEATRE!
